A local court has held a 28-year-old resident of Mauli Jagran guilty in a drug case.

According to the prosecution, an FIR was registered against convict Sunny under Section 22 of the NDPS Act at the Sector 34 police station on October 7, 2017.

He was found carrying 34 injections (17 injections of pheniramine maleate and 17 injections of buprenorphine) near the gurdwara chowk in Sector 32, Chandigarh.

As the prosecution proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt, the court held him guilty. The quantum of punishment will be pronounced on January 14.
