Chandigarh Mayor Babla to attend BRICS forum in Moscow

BRICS is an organisation comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
The Mayor has received clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for this significant international engagement.
The forum will bring together more than 15,000 participants and over 300 speakers from 30 countries. Heads of foreign cities, leaders of international business and experts have been invited to discuss and find effective technological solutions for the development of mega cities.
The delegates will share the best practices and knowledge on how the use of Cloud technologies and smart city concepts can increase the efficiency of urban infrastructure for business and improve the quality of life in cities.
Babla will address the forum on the topic: “Technological Framework of the City. The Space of the Future.” Her participation highlights the growing international recognition of Chandigarh’s progress in urban governance and development.
