In view of the stray cattle menace and reports of death of cows at gaushalas, MC Commissioner KK Yadav has ordered constitution of a sub-committee for cow management.

Shakti Parkash Devshali, a councillor, has been made the chairman of the sub-committee. The chairman, along with other members, has been tasked with visiting all gaushalas in the city and prepare a report on the problems the cattle was facing.

They will also plan on how to stop the stray cattle menace so as to prevent road accidents due to the animals. “Cows caught by the MC should not be returned to their owners as rearing of cattle is banned here,” said Devshakti.
