The Municipal Corporation today carried out an anti-encroachment drive at Sadar Bazaar and Palika Bazaar in Sector 19 to clear public spaces and ensure smooth pedestrian movement.

During the drive, enforcement teams removed temporary encroachments, including illegal extensions and roadside obstructions.

A total of 75 challans were issued to shopkeepers, vendors and persons found violating municipal norms. The operation was conducted as part of the MC’s ongoing efforts to maintain cleanliness, order and hassle-free public access in busy market areas.
