MC road committee clears projects worth Rs 59.29 lakh

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Municipal Corporation’s road committee, which was chaired by councillor Dalip Sharma and attended by committee members, including Sarabjit Kaur, Gurcharanjit Singh, Suman Devi, Nirmala Devi, Manaur and Maheshinder Singh Sidhu, and officials concerned of the civic body.
Among the projects are “improvement” of roads and parking lots near the Army Hospital in Sector 47-A at an estimated cost of Rs 9.67 lakh; repair of road cuts in Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, at an estimated cost of Rs 24.07 lakh; fixing of GI chain link fencing in ABC Centre at Raipur Kalan at an estimated cost of Rs 2.23 lakh and completion of the Veterinary Hospital and Sick Animal Building at Raipur Kalan Gaushala at a cost of Rs 23.32 lakh.
After detailed deliberations, the committee recommended all these projects for administrative and technical approval to ensure these were completed in a time-bound manner. The committee members also asked the MC officials to start as soon as possible the recarpeting work of roads for which tenders had already been floated.
