She emphasised that all ongoing projects must be completed within their stipulated timelines.
The DC was chairing a review meeting held in the conference hall of the District Secretariat to assess the progress of development works at the shrine.
During the meeting, SDO Rakesh Pahuja of the Shrine Board briefed the DC on several key matters. These included the Sanskrit College and NIU Ayurveda projects in the temple complex, the Gurukul, dome construction, auction of vacant booths in the Mata Mansa Devi market, removal of encroachments near the temple, use of gold and silver jewellery received as donations, construction and operation of an old age home, an additional entry gate for the main temple, the Jatayu Yatrika project, installation of a CCTV system within the temple premises, and construction of two lion gates on the roads leading to Shri Kali Mandir, Kalka. He also updated the DC on the Prasad Scheme projects and the proposed Hanuman Vatika.
Gupta, meanwhile, directed the Executive Engineer of B&R to expedite the completion of the Sanskrit College, to which he assured completion by February 2026. A Gurukul representative informed the DC assured completion by September 30.
She also instructed the formation of a dedicated sanitation committee for all temples and directed the Shrine Board Secretary to constitute a donation handling committee. Furthermore, she ordered videography of all gold and silver donations received at the temple for transparency.
The DC directed that a cafeteria be set up near the parking area and convenience centre for devotees, ensuring seating and refreshments are available. The HSVP was asked to take immediate action against encroachments around the temple premises. The Junior Engineer of B&R was also directed to submit a report by tomorrow on the usage of public toilets within the temple complex.
All departments were further asked to prepare a comprehensive table of pending and completed works, including the percentage of completion, to streamline monitoring.
