Milkha Singh’s health deteriorates

Chandigarh, June 18
Former Indian sprinter Milkha Singh’s health deteriorated on Friday, according to highly placed sources.
“He was fine till Thursday evening. However, late in the night, he had fever and also de-saturation. His health is not sinking, but he is also not stable,” said the source.
His daughter, Mona Milkha Singh, who is a doctor, is also closely monitoring his health, the source said.
On Wednesday, Milkha Singh was shifted out of the Covid ICU to another section of the PGI hospital.
The 91-year-old contracted the virus last month. His wife, Nirmal Milkha Singh, succumbed to Covid on June 13.
