Three days after a resident of Behera here, Numberdar Karam Singh, went missing, his body was found in a vacant plot near Gulabgarh today. He had left home for the tehsil office but did not return home, said his son Sandeep Singh.

Passersby noticed the body near a gurdwara and informed the police. A police reached the spot and inspected the scene.

The police shifted the body to the mortuary of the Dera Bassi subdivisional hospital. They have ruled out snatching or murder angle behind the death of Karam Singh, as a gold bracelet and a finger ring were found on the body. There were no injury marks.
