The ongoing draw of lots for admission to entry-level classes at various local schools continue to bring smiles to some parents and disappointment to many.

On Friday, the draw of lots was conducted at St Kabir School, Sector 26, and Chitkara International School, Sector 25. While 90 seats were available at the Sector 26 school, 45 seats were up for grabs at the Sector 25 school. The draw of lots for siblings admission at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 33, was also conducted today, while the same for general category will be held on January 18.

The draw of lots for at Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26; Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, along with Carmel Convent School, Sector 9; St Anee’s School, Sector 32, and other schools is scheduled to held on January 18. The admission to the Montessori Toddler class at Vivek High School for the 2025–2026 academic year was held on January 15. As per the admission schedule, the list of eligible candidates was scheduled to be released till January 14, followed by the display of list of selected candidates till February 3. Majority of the local private schools are likely to complete the draw of lots before January 20.
