Officials at the high-security Nabha jail have recovered a mobile phone and a SIM card from the jail premises.

The mobile and the SIM card were placed in the rear side of a television kept in the barracks, the police said. Assistant Superintendent Kuldeep Singh said the recoveries were made after a tip-off. The police officials at Kotwali Nabha police station have registered a case under Section 52-A of the Prisons Act against unidentified persons.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
