SSP Deepak Pareek, along with DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, launched modern police beat boxes. The SSP said the move aimed at giving a new look to beat boxes with updated infrastructure like CCTV cameras, flash lights and to make access to the police easy.

Policemen would stay in beat boxes during bad weather conditions or night duty, the SSP said. He said beat boxes were equipped with LED TV to convey information to the people. He said this was third beat box launched in city. — TNS
