Mohali, July 31
In a bid to curtail the footfall in government offices to check the spread of Covid-19, the district administration would adopt online public grievance redressal system in Mohali district.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Girish Dayalan stated this while chairing the core group meeting of officials concerned. He asserted that it was mandatory to restrain all avoidable influx of the public to government offices.
“Directorate of Governance Reforms (DGR) Punjab has developed a public grievance redressal system (PGRS). As far as possible, complaints will be entertained online through the PGRS,” the DC added.
Sharing details of the PGRS, Assistant Commissioner (Grievances) Harkirat Channe informed, “The PGRS is accessible to citizens via web, mobile, Sewa Kendra and a call centre. Using online portal of the PGRS, an aggrieved citizen can conveniently file a grievance and receive an assured response to his/her complaint.”
