Two ultra-modern ambulances have been provided by the Punjab Government to the district health authorities. These would be deployed at Nayagaon and Singhpura near Zirakpur to transport road accident victims to the hospitals.

The Civil Surgeon, Dr Manjit Singh, while flagging off the ambulances from his office today, thanked Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu for the initiative in providing ambulances. Dr Manjit Singh said the BS-VI ambulances had more inside space than other ambulances. — TNS
