The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali, celebrated its 18th foundation day today. The foundation stone of the institute was laid on this day in 2006 by the then Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh. Director Anil Kumar Tripathi presented the institute's annual progress report.

Nearly 1,800 students and their teachers, participated in an open day event. The institute's quiz and literary clubs organised various competitions, while the drama club performed a lively nukkad natak.
