The Punjab Cabinet has approved the establishment of a university campus by a private education group in Mohali’s IT city. The self-financed private university will come up on a 40 acre campus at a prime location with an investment of Rs664.32 crore over five years. Its first session is set to commence in June-July 2021. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
