City MP Manish Tewari and Chandigarh Pradesh Congress president HS Lucky today called on Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria and discussed various issues concerning the City Beautiful.

The main issues include share-wise registration of property, extension of ‘lal dora’, need-based changes in houses of the Chandigarh Housing Board and conversion of properties from leasehold to freehold.

They also discussed various issues relating to cooperative societies, ownership right to colonies and exorbitant interest being charged on delayed payments by the owners of dwelling units in colonies.

Both leaders expressed their concern over the rising pollution. The Administrator assured them that concentrated efforts would be made in the coming days to resolve these issues.
