Muskan claimed gold medal in the 3-km steeple chase event by clocking 15 minutes and 18:81 seconds on the concluding day of the 70th annual sports of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11. Ritika (15.49:47s) and Nidhi (16.23:40s) claimed second and third position, respectively.

In the men’s event, Abhishek Saini, Nasrullahelya and Bhupendar Rawat won top three medals in steeple chase. The team of Amanpreet, Aniket, Lenish and Prince claimed the top position in the 4x100m, followed by the team of Aman, Neeraj, Ajay and Anand. Mohit, Suraj, Aryan and Nikhil finished third.

In the women’s event of 4x100m, the team of Muskan, Harpreet Kaur, Soshimla and Sunaina finished first, followed by the teams of Kanika, Riya, Nikita and Shivani at second and Ishu Katal, Geetika Thakur, Bulbul and Nidhi at third. Aryan claimed the triple jump gold medal, followed by Sunder Singh and Jaspreet Singh.

Abhishek Pandey won the javelin throw event, followed by Chiku at second position and Mandeep at third. In the women’s event, Yati came first, Shikha second and Harpreet third. Ayushi won the women’s triple jump event, followed by Yati and Soshimla.

In the men’s shot put final, Dr Raj Kumar Herojeet, Dr Parkash Singh Brar and Ravi Yadav claimed the top three positions. In the women’s event, Monika Diman, Rita and Dr Jasbir bagged medals.

Ashish, Shruti win 100m dash

Ashish Sherhawat clocked 13.70s to win the men’s 100m sprint, followed by Rajvir Singh (13.75s) and Mayank Negi (13.76s). In the women’s event, Shruti (19.10s), Priyanka (19.32s) and Khushboo (19.78s) bagged medals. In the women’s general stream, Soshimla Shaiza (15.35s), Sunaina (15.38s) and Ishu (15.91s) excelled.
