As per the guidelines of the National Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat will be held at the District Courts tomorrow.

All types of civil and criminal compoundable cases will be taken up in the National Lok Adalat for amicable settlement. To achieve maximum disposal of cases, 15 Benches have been constituted to take up the cases.

In addition to above cases, traffic challans, STA challans, Shop Act cases, Registrar of Companies Act, Municipal Corporation matters, etc., will also be taken up in the Lok Adalat.

Four Benches have been exclusively set up for disposal of cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments (NI) Act and one exclusive Lok Adalat Bench has been set up for settlement of matrimonial cases.

In this Lok Adalat, special emphasis will be laid on maximum disposal of four categories of cases i.e. Negotiable Instruments Act, MACT, Criminal Compoundable cases and matrimonial disputes.
