The township’s low population density, cleaner air, and planned urban grid are major attractions. Bajwa highlighted the under-construction six-lane expressway linking New Chandigarh to Chandigarh International Airport, enhancing residential attractiveness and investment demand.

Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) is developing New Chandigarh as a modern, medium-density area with integrated residential, education, healthcare, and commercial facilities. Large-scale zones like Eco City, Education City, and Medi City are taking shape.
