Disha, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), distributed school bags and stationery items among children from different schools of Chandigarh and Kansal who had passed their examinations with flying colours, at an event held today.

Lata Dua, founder of Disha, stated that the non-governmental organisation also supported disabled students. Volunteers who write exams for the blind and help them in many ways were also facilitated and awarded certificates of appreciation during the event.

A volunteer was also awarded certificate of appreciation for recording an audio book for the visually impaired.
