The Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Punjab, honoured Kudrat Welfare Trust, an NGO, at a function here on Wednesday for its support in patient care through blood and platelet donations in the tricity. Trust chairperson GS Ahluwalia said he had started the social work after his daughter Kudrat Kaur died in a road accident.

During the ceremony, the hospital’s director, Ashish Gulia, praised the trust for its contribution in platelet donation campaigns, ensuring a steady supply for cancer patients.
