NIRF Rankings: PGIMER placed 2nd for eighth year in a row

The rankings were announced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi on Thursday. Prof RK Ratho, Dean (Academic), received the award on behalf of the PGIMER.
The AIIMS, New Delhi, retained the top position, while the CMC, Vellore, and the NIMHANS, Bengaluru, were ranked third and fourth, respectively.
The PGIMER retained the second rank for the eighth consecutive year.
“This recognition is not just an accolade but a reflection of the institute’s unwavering commitment to patient care, medical education and path-breaking research. I dedicate this achievement to the tireless efforts of our faculty, staff and students,” said Prof Vivek Lal, Director, PGIMER.
This year marks the 10th edition of the NIRF rankings launched by the Ministry of Education in 2015. The framework assesses institutions across five broad parameters: teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception.
