Panchkula: The district on Saturday reported 17 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 30,572. The district also witnessed one Covid death, taking the toll to 373. A 57-year-old man from Sector 20, who had no comorbid condition, succumbed to the virus. While 30,128 patients have recovered from the disease so far, 71 cases are still active. The recovery rate is 98.54 per cent. — TNS

Mohali sees one death, 20 cases

Mohali: One more person succumbed to Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, taking the toll in the district to 1,046. Meanwhile, 20 fresh cases surfaced in the district till Saturday evening, pushing the toll to 68,179, while 47 patients recovered from the virus. Among the new cases, 11 came from Mohali (urban), two each from Dera Bassi, Gharuan and Kharar and three from Dhakoli. No new case was reported from Boothgarh, Lalru, Banur and Kurali. — TNS
