40 test positive in dist, tally 7,823

Panchkula, November 13

The district today reported 40 fresh cases of Covid, taking the infection tally to 7,823.

In a relief to the health department, the district did not register any death due to the virus for the eighth consecutive day.

It was on November 5 when the district recorded a death due to Covid. A 45-year-old man from Devinagar had lost his life due to the infectious disease.

Among the fresh cases reported today, seven were from Sector 17, five each from Pinjore and Sector 7, four from Sector 2 and three each from Kalka, Sector 11 and Sector 21.

While 7,179 patients have defeated the virus so far, 527 cases are active in the district. The recovery rate stands at 91.76 per cent.
