The Electricity Department, UT, has extended the due date for payment of electricity bills in the wake of closure of Sampark Centres.

In view of the surge in Covid cases, the UT Administration had imposed curfew in the city from May 5 to 11. Subsequently, the Administration ordered the closure of all Sampark Centres till May 11.

With centres shut till May 11, the department has extended the due date for payment of electricity bills to May 18, so as to avoid inconvenience to consumers.
