In an order, UT Adviser Manoj Parida stated that the shops in 11 congested markets, already following the odd-even system, would continue to follow it from August 15 to 24.

The Scooter Repair Market in Sector 43 will remain closed on all Sundays.

Apart from the 11 markets already following the system, the Electronic Market in Sector 18 has been asked to follow the odd-even system for 10 days, up to August 24, he added.

The rest of the buildings, where chambers or cabins are located, would function on the odd-even basis, as per the plan finalised by the local SDMs in consultation with the owners of the shops, stated the order.
