Prospectus released

Chandigarh: Guru Gobind Singh College for Women (GGSW), Sector 26, released its prospectus for the session 2021-22. The prospectus was unveiled by Gurdev Singh, former IAS officer and president of Sikh Educational Society, Col Jasmer Singh Bala (retd), secretary of the society, and the Principal, Dr Jatinder Kaur. It is available on college website, http://admission.ggscw.ac.in for online admissions. The college offers undergraduate courses in BCA (40 seats), BCom (280 seats), BSc (NM/CSc) (60 plus 20 seats), BA (450 seats), and postgraduate courses, including MCom (40 seats), MA English (60 seats) and MA Economics (60 seats). The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
