Taking note of non-compliance with parking fee regulations, Municipal Commissioner Amit Kumar today ordered the suspension of a Junior Engineer (JE) of the Buildings and Roads (B&R) Wing and served show-cause notices on the Executive Engineer and the Sub-Divisional Engineer concerned during a surprise check at a parking site in Sector 17 last evening.

Manoj Kumar, Junior Engineer, has been placed under suspension for non-compliance with the parking fee regulations. Executive Engineer (Roads) Anurag Bishnoi and Sub-Divisional Engineer Akhil Dhiman have been asked to explain their position within three days as to why the supervision and monitoring of attendants of parking staff was not done properly.

During the surprise check, the Commissioner, accompanied by other senior officers of the Municipal Corporation, found that vehicles were entering and exiting the parking lot near the Smart City office, Sector 17, without proper checking.
