Officials told to act against illegal screening plants

Deputy Commissioner Ambala Ashok Kumar Sharma has directed the district taskforce to take action against the illegal mining activities, illegal screening plants and overloading vehicles.

The DC warned the officials and said any negligence regarding illegal mining and screening plants will not be tolerated.

SDM Naraingarh, DSP Naraingarh, mining officer, officials of pollution control board and other officials were present at the meeting.

The official from the pollution control board apprised the DC that in the Naraingarh region there are 47 screening plants of which 24 are registered while the remaining are operating illegally on which action needs to be taken.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of the RTA department to conduct special campaigns against overloading vehicles. — TNS
