The UT today added 150 new cases to its Covid-19 tally, which has now reached 16,472. With one more death of a 40-year-old man from Sector 25, the toll due to infection has reached 255 in the city.

With 133 more patients being discharged, the number of recoveries has touched 15,096. The number of active cases is 1,121. Meanwhile, Rakesh Kumar Popli, Director, UT Guest House, has tested positive for the virus. He has isolated himself in his house. He asked people who came in contact with him in the recent days to get tested for Covid-19.

A few days ago, Yashpal Garg, Chief Executive Officer, Chandigarh Housing Board, and Rajiv Singla, Chief Engineer, CHB, had tested positive. Both the officers were home-quarantined.
