Chandigarh, November 3

The city today recorded 86 new cases of Covid-19 and one death. A 56-year-old man from Mani Majra died at a private hospital in Mohali.

The UT tally now stands at 14,608 and toll 228.

A total of 43 patients were discharged on Tuesday, taking the number of recoveries to 13,751. The number of active cases increased to 629 against 593 on Monday. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
