Shooters fired warning shots at the dhaba just after the singer had left the place. Bains, in his statement to the police, said he was receiving ransom calls from gangsters.

Preliminary interrogation of the accused has revealed the identity of two absconding accused Rana and Arshjot.

The fourth accused, Feroz, involved has already been arrested by the Haryana Police. A police spokesman said these handlers executed the crime on the directions of foreign-based gangster Gaurav alias Lucky Patiyal of the Bambiha gang to extract ransom money from the victim.
