Reviving hopes, UT Administrator Banwarilal Purohit said he was open to the revival of the Self-Financing Employee Housing Scheme, which was launched in 2008 for the employees of the Chandigarh Administration. Due to an increase in the cost of the land, the UT Administration had shelved the project.

“We have not dropped the scheme, but will revive it,” he said while talking to mediapersons here today.

On submitting an affidavit in the HC that the scheme was not viable now, he said they could file another affidavit.
