He said, “The garbage dump yard came up during the Congress candidate Chander Mohan’s tenure. We issued a tender of Rs 22 crore and cleared the trash. While others are doing politics on the matter, we worked day and night to remove garbage from the site.”

He listed several works carried out across the Ghaggar in Sectors 23 to 31.

Gupta said the list includes setting up of Sanskrit Senior Secondary School at Sector 26, Government Polytechnic College and National Institute of Fashion Technology among others.

He said, “The BJP government also established Government Engineering College and international shooting range in Sector 32. We constructed community centres in Sectors 23 and 27.”

The BJP candidate said, “We also established a senior-citizen bhawan, a working women hostel at Sector 27 and a 262 KV sub-station at Sector 32. The BJP provided 40 per cent rebate on surcharge levied on residents on account of land acquisition and came up with a multi-featured park.”

He said such facilities were not there in sectors across the Ghaggar before 2014.
