The main issues discussed included implementation of one-time settlement (OTS) scheme for VAT assessment cases on the Punjab pattern, making commercial/industrial property freehold on reasonable charges, permission of general trade in the upper floors of commercial buildings without conversion charges, rationalisation of conversion/extra coverage charges from SCF to SCO, roll back of penalty, expansion of parking facility in markets and formation of trader welfare board in the city.

Purohit assured of bringing in OTS for pending assessment cases of VAT. He said the scheme for converting leasehold commercial/industrial properties into freehold had already been sent to the MHA for the final approval.
