Panjab University’s Dr Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital today organised its first convocation ceremony to confer graduate degrees on 2006-2018 batch students at the Law Auditorium.

The occasion marked a significant milestone for the institute as several graduating batches received recognition for their academic accomplishments.

More than 150 graduates from several batches, including the first one, were given their degrees by the dignitaries.

As the alumni from various batches who have helped the institute’s growth and reputation over the years came back to celebrate their achievements, the ceremony was an emotional and proud occasion.

In his convocation address PU Registrar YP Verma commended the graduates and underlined their duty as healthcare professionals to serve society with commitment, morality and creativity.

Earlier, the event commenced with a welcome address by principal Deepak Gupta of the institute. Appreciating the accomplishments of students, PU controller of examinations Jagat Bhushan, stressed on the need to upgrade the skills to keep pace with the advancements in the profession. Shefali Singla delievered the vote of thanks.
