A cyclothon, under the banner of Saksham Pedal India, was organised here today. Over 200 participants from all walks of life participated in the event.

The cyclothon, organised by Bharat Petroleum, was flagged off from Ambala Club by District Revenue Officer Captain Vinod Sharma to create awareness for cycling and a green environment.

Speaking on the occasion, Captain Vinod Sharma said: “Judicious use of various forms of energy and its conservation are a matter of vital importance for all of us for the betterment of our society and healthy environment”.

Suraj Pratap, Territory Manager (Retail), BPCL, Ambala, said: “Conservation is a collective responsibility of all of us”. He appealed to all citizens to come together and work for building a nation that is green, environmentally clean and pollution free. —
