After the police action, all other spa centres in the city shut shop and fled,” said Zirakpur SHO Jaskanwal Singh Shekhon.

The development has come a year after nine spa owners were booked for immoral trafficking and 12 outlets sealed at the same location on February 3, 2023. Nine persons were arrested and 28 suspicious persons, including 21 women were detained then. In August 2022, seven spa and massage parlours’ owners were booked on the VIP Road. According to conservative estimates, there are more than a 100 spa and massage centres functional in Zirakpur.
