Mohali, February 12

The police have nabbed one suspect involved in a theft of jewellery worth Rs 17 lakh and Rs 60,000 in cash from a house in Sector 121. The suspect has been identified as Johnny, a resident of Balongi, who works as a painter.

The suspect had painted the house of the complainant five months ago.

On February 8, Dr Chandan and his wife Dr Harpreet Kaur claimed that they left the house in the morning. When they returned in the evening, the found the door of the house open and an almirah containing jewellery and cash ransacked.
