Panchayat Secretaries told to update records of Shamlat land

District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) Baljinder Singh Grewal held a meeting with the Panchayat Secretaries of Block Majri and Block Mohali at the District Administrative Complex to review the progress of departmental schemes and other development works.

Grewal said all Secretaries were instructed to ensure the maintenance of the Shamlat land, which should be pinned on Google Maps and the boundaries be marked.

The Shamlat land, according to the instructions, are to be marked on logs so that their maintenance process can be made madesmoother.

Besides, while directing the implementation the pending possession warrants as soon as possible, the Panchayat Secretaries were given 10 days time to implement the possession warrants.

“If there is any problem in implementing any possession warrant, the Panchayat Secretary should immediately bring this matter to the notice of his senior officer so that the possession warrants can be implemented in a time bound manner,” Grewal further added.
