Panchkula man duped of Rs7L, 1 booked

Chandigarh: A Zirakpur resident has been booked for allegedly duping a man of Rs7 lakh on the pretext of sending him abroad. According to the police, complainant Davinder Singh, a resident of Sector 8, Panchkula, alleged that Sachin Sharma, a resident of Penta Homes, Zirakpur, and others cheated him of Rs7 lakh by promising to send him to Singapore on a work visa. A case against the suspect has been registered. TNS

Lamborghini impounded

Chandigarh: The police impounded a luxury car, Lamborghini, for traffic violations near Sector 10 here on Sunday. The driver of the car was charged with driving without documents and reckless driving among other offences. Netizens had complained about the car driver for driving recklessly during mornings and evenings in the area on a regular basis.
