Panchkula Police visit 17 schools in a single day

To mark the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Panchkula Police reached out to school students with the message of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” along with a vision of a safe and drug-free India. Officials invoked Sardar Patel’s unparalleled contribution to the nation’s unity, integrity and security, urging the young generation to stay away from drugs and the dazzle of the Internet and to embrace a positive and purposeful life.

Sibash Kabiraj, Panchkula Police Commissioner and Haryana Cyber IG, said acting on the vision of the Haryana Government and DGP Haryana OP Singh — “to safeguard youth from the lure of drugs and the digital world and build a strong India” — police teams visited 14 schools across all police station jurisdictions in the district today.” Station House Officers and outpost in-charges explained harmful effects of drugs and excessive mobile phone use to students. The Commissioner appealed to the public to join Panchkula Police’s campaign “Nasha aur Hinsa Mukt Mera Gaon Mera Abhiyaan”.
