As per today’s vaccine bulletin, a stock of 27,360 doses is available for the 45-plus category and 9,780 doses are available for the 18-44 age group.

On Monday, the Centre’s new plan to provide free vaccination to everyone above 18 years of age will come into force, allowing local health officials to club the distribution of both categories.

The district will also receive 9,000 more doses by tomorrow. The CMO, Dr Jasjeet Kaur, said: “One of the major strategies in the prevention of the anticipated wave is timely vaccination. We have now adequate stocks of vaccines. All site in-charge are requested to mobilise beneficiaries for the vaccination drive on Monday.”
