Panchkula will host the under-17 women’s cricket competition of the 68th National School Games from February 3 to 7.

A total of 25 teams from various states across the country have registered to participate in this prestigious event. The competition, organised by the School Games Federation of India, will feature teams from states including Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh among others.

Providing details, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Monika Gupta said the tournament will kick off on February 3 at Sutlej Public School, Sector 4, where a control room will also be established to monitor the event. Matches will be held across five locations in the district.

The event provides a platform for young cricketers to showcase their skills and represent their states at a national level. The hosting of the event underscores Panchkula’s growing prominence as a venue for national sporting events and highlights the district’s commitment to providing all necessary facilities for the smooth conduct of the competition.
