The Panchkula police today carried-out special checking drive for those violating traffic rules in Kalka and Pinjore areas. The action followed numerous complaints of residents regarding violation of traffic rules in the areas.

Pinjore SHO Inspector Sombir Dhaka said the police issued 26 challans and impounded an auto-rickshaw. Meanwhile, 21 vehicles were impounded and ten were chalaned in Kalka. Officials added that they impounded 20 motorcycles and one tipper in the area.

Inspector Hari Ram of Kalka police station said action was taken against people driving vehicles without RC, or with their names and other information written on plates.
