The Panjab University will honour employees with cash prize of Rs 2,100 along with commendation certificates and mementos on Independence Day for their outstanding performance. Vinod Kumar Pal, Helper (DW), PU Main Guest House; Veena, Senior Assistant, Department of Public Relations; Sanjeev Kumar, Record Keeper, Department of Biotechnology: Baljit Singh, Security officer, O/o Chief University Security; Randeep Singh, Senior Draftsman, Architect Office; Rupinder Kaur, Stenographer, Establishment-II; Kidar Nath, driver, O/o the Registrar, and Sanjay, cleaner, O/o the Registrar will be honoured with cash prize, along with memento and commendation certificates.

The employees, who will be given a letter of appreciation and a memento for their appreciable performance include Laxmi Kori, Clerk (DW), Conduct Branch; Pushpa Rani, Clerk (Temp), University Business School; Anil Kumar, Scientific Officer, Dr SS Bhatnagar Chemical Engineering & Technology; Sandeep Rawat, Senior Techinician G-II; Department of Chemistry.

Dr Prabhdip Brar, Chairperson, University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development, will be honoured for designing the dress code of PU’s 72nd annual convocation.

The Panjab University team, led by Dr Parveen Goyal, had successfully reclaimed long-encroached university property at Hall Gate, Amritsar. They will be honoured as the formal acknowledgement of their efforts in securing physical possession of shops from unauthorised occupants. Dr Praveen Goyal, Associate Professor UIET Department; Sandeeep Grover, Deputy Registrar (Estate); Nirmal Paul, Assistant Registrar (Estate); Ashwani Kumar, Superintendent (Estate); Ashwani Dogra, Senior Assistant (Estate) and Ankush, Junior Assistant (Estate) will also be honoured.
