Chandigarh: Black Panthers defeated ASRS Redbacks by eight runs in a DBR Season-I Cricket Cup match here. Batting first, Panthers made 143/9 in 20, with useful contributions from Gurvinder (50) and Sukhdev (33). Anil (3/38) was the most effective bowler for Redbacks. Needing to score 7.20 runs per over for victory, Redbacks were bowled out for 135 runs in 18.2 overs. Sushil Choudhury claimed 2/17 for Panthers. Shubham made 33, while Sabby managed 28 runs. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
