Faculty and resident doctors from the Advanced Eye Centre (AEC), PGI, have won national awards at various conferences.

Dr Aniruddha Agarwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, PGIMER, has been conferred with the Prof Namperumalsamy Award for his work in retinal diseases under the mentorship of Prof Vishali Gupta.

The award was presented to Dr Agarwal at a recently conducted Vitreoretina Society of India conference in Lucknow. At the Indian Paediatric Glaucoma Society conference held at Hyderabad, Dr Sagarika (Senior Resident) won the Best Paper Award for research on genetics of newborn glaucoma. Dr Vibha (junior resident) and Dr Deepika (glaucoma fellow) won the Best Poster Award for research on congenital ectropion uveae.
