PGI Keralites’ body celebrates Onam

Samskriti, an association of Keralites at the PGIMER, comprising doctors, nurses and technicians, organised ‘Keralotsavam 2025’ to celebrate Onam at a community centre in the city on Saturday.

The celebrations showcased Kerala’s vibrant traditions through classical and contemporary dance and music performances, and skits. A traditional Onam sadhya (feast) was also served.

The association expressed deep gratitude to dignitaries, performers, volunteers and attendees for making the event a success.

Meanwhile, former Union Minister and ex-MP Pawan Kumar Bansal on Sunday attended a function organised by the Chandigarh Malayalee Association to celebrate Onam. Speaking on the occasion, he said he found it truly remarkable that Onam was celebrated across religions, communities and regions. “It shows us the essence of multiculturalism — many cultures, many traditions, but one shared identity, one humanity. It is a shining component of Indian composite culture,” he said.
