Chandigarh’s Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research said it was ready to administer two doses of Covaxin to teenagers between 15 and 18 at its paediatric centre.

Those eligible for the vaccine in that age group will get two shots of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin at an interval of 28 days, the hospital said in a statement. This vaccination drive will begin on January 3  

Parents or guardians could register their wards on the Cowin app.

The hospital will begin to administer “precautionary” doses at its LT -1 Nehru building from January 10, the hospital’s statement said.
